The same is true for the other Espada with their hogyoku forms with respect to their primera etapa released forms. Most of all, Ulquiorra's form has energy radiating off of him in the same spot as his mask fragments from his SE form.

Other than that, Ulquiorra's hogyoku form resembles his segunda etapa form so closely that I don't think it can be considered a new form on top of that. For one thing, such a form isn't known to exist so that's like guessing at a form above bankai. I think the first interpretation of that is that the hogyoku forms are some "tracers etapa" form. However, I don't want to read too much into that line.

I'd want to just rate these forms even with segunda etapa based on that, but they're apparently a form "beyond" resurreccion. The other espada's designs appear to follow the segunda etapa motif as well (long hair, nakedness, mask almost entirely gone, colored sclera and pupils) Ulquiorra's hogyoku form pretty much shows us what's going on. It should only stimulate them achieving a higher level of release. These firms show that the hogyoku isn't giving him more power, but letting him stumble into higher forms that let him utilize more of his own power.īased on that, all of the Espada do not get more reiryoku by gaining the hogyoku forms. He even gets a pseudo hollow hole when he turns into a butterfly. Aiden's different hogyoku forms are just him following the stages of hollowification. However, it can make it possible for you to reach your potential or unlock a new power/form.

The hogyoku doesn't increase your power or potential. I think I can place them based off of how the hogyoku works. I'd like to make these forms usable in VS matches, but they're really just video game characters. I'm not really asking you all, this is just my theory.
